All he needs is for one drone to beam over, and use mind control on him. Since they are all linked, he'll have control over all of them.

I wonder if he could control the entire collective? They could perhaps even adapt to that, or simply be immune to it. Perhaps they would even cut off the drone at the first sign of mind control.

They've been seen to never want to cut drones off, as they are a part of them now. A few episodes showed them going to extreme lengths to get them back, dead or alive. And he could tell them something simple, like go to sleep, the way Picard did.

Okay, it's Monday, and I haven't have too much coffee yet, way too earlier to be thinking deeply...
