Mark my words. The American economy will only start to recover when it sees the Community organizer headed out the door or a conservative Congress in place to stop the great Marxist. And even then he will try to take credit for what has been nothing but failure.

Default Be careful with posting news articles

Steve Gibson has a plan to save the media world’s financial crisis — and it’s not the iPad.

Borrowing a page from patent trolls, the CEO of fledgling Las Vegas-based Righthaven has begun buying out the copyrights to newspaper content for the sole purpose of suing blogs and websites that re-post those articles without permission. And he says he’s making money.

“We believe it’s the best solution out there,” Gibson says. “Media companies’ assets are very much their copyrights. These companies need to understand and appreciate that those assets have value more than merely the present advertising revenues.”

Yeah, that's why I only post the link along with a small except as that is allowed under fair use. Never post the entire article, as that is a copywrite violation.

btw, you should probably sticky this, along with guidelines to use. Having it stickied provides CYA coverage for those who own/run the site. It's usually the difference between a take down notice and a lawsuit.

Done and merged with older thread covering the topic. The reason for the new topic was basically the story, but does not hurt to have this added to the previous sticky.

Since the US politics forum is the most used, would it make sense to have this there? I know I seldom come into here.
