I came across this article (http://host.madison.com/ct/news/local/govt_and_politics/article_a6619a00-419f-11df-84ab-001cc4c03286.html) in the Madison...

I came across this article in the Madison Capitol Times. This is an article on the Tea Party Express being in Madison tonight. The part of the article which infuriates me is the part below:

Joe the Plumber, aka Sam Wurzelbacher, will be the chief rally rouser in Madison, and also will lead the tea baggers in Milwaukee and Green Bay on Wednesday.

The Cap Times calls themselves 'Your Progressive Voice', so I get the bent towards liberalism in the editorial section. However, when it calls a group of people tea baggers in the name of supposed "journalism", it removes itself from the category of reliable source. It becomes a newsletter for the DNC.

It is this cavalier, dismissive attitude which offends so many, yet invisibly intoxicate some on the Left.

It is Primary day here in the Badger State. Should be an interesting day.

As much as it pains me too admit, Nancy Pelosi did a hell of a job getting her bill through. She figured out a way, through any means necessary, to deliver her "gift to the American people". However, the very twisting of arms which allowed her to pass the largest entitlement in a generation, might well have dislocated so many in the process her team will lose control of the House of Representatives. The Speaker's jack-in-the-box chair will be occupied by the tan man.

So Congrats Nancy, enjoy the victory....just might be a short lived one.

I have made my dream solution for health care pretty clear:

1. Competition across state lines.
2. Private insurance coverage for the first 50k-100k spent.
3. Catastrophic coverage for all provided by the federal government.

This solution will bring the cost of private insurance WAAAY down since insurers will only be on the hook for 50k-100k as opposed to 1 million. Younger people could buy inexpensive, high deductible plans for very cheap. Much fewer would face bankruptcy from medical bills.

To me, this is THE solution. Its a compromise between the single payer people and free-marketeers, and it is cheaper to the FEDS. There is no reason the feds should be paying for a throat culture and penicilin.

We have discussed this option before, and this is the best compromise out there (even though it is not really out there...)
