General Motors Corp. has a tentative deal to sell its Saturn brand to former race car driver and dealership group owner Roger Penske, both companies said Friday.

This really interests me. Penske = racing IMO.
The details will be interesting. Will the government have a hand in Saturn or will Penske have it free and clear. He says he is keeping the employees but will he leave the union intact? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

If the unions are involved I wouldnt blame him one bit. Get rid of the unions and the US would manufacture more of everything in the states. Employment and the economy would benefit.

Not Roger Penske.. He is as American as Caroll Shelby, Dan Gurney, John Wayne and Rick Hendricks. I expect nothing less than a 502 "crate" motor in a Saturn Opel (Astra) by years end..:thumbup:

All reasons that auto manufacturing is expanding in the right to work States. Favorable Labor Laws, lower costs of living, and State tax incentives are helping them to expand.
That's why when the Union (UAW again) played hardball here in York, PA, Caterpillar said "Screw You" and moved to Kentucky.
