I contracted with Cagle cartoons to provide the cartoon content and articles for the site some months ago. Initially, the RSS feds worked great and eliminated the chore of Cybok and I picking and choosing what cartoons to post on the homepage. On or around April 27th, Cagle updated something on their end which threw a monkey wrench into the RSS feeds displaying properly re: the cartoons. I have called, emailed, left voice mail, and most of the time been blown off. It is evident they are in no hurry to repair the RSS feeds they distribute. They tried to push embedding a singular cartoonist's cartoons on the main page. If I do that it would eliminate a counter point of view as most are either right or left in their rendering. Also it would only be the one cartoon every day or sometimes 2-3 days.

There has been no issue with the articles. Based on the fact the cartoons are not working, the cost of the service monthly, and the fact them seem disinterested in correcting the issue I have decided to discontinue the relationship with Cagle Cartoons by the end of June. I have begun to actively seek out new content for the site. There are some great options out there. If anyone has any ideas or thoughts please share them in this thread.

Okay, I believe I have come up with a good, new, idea for content. It would be real-time, political based, and very original and something pretty unique still.

I want to research it some more before rolling it out. More info coming soon!!!
