I find it amazing that republicans still deny that Bush's massive spending bills on the war on terrorism is the reason why we are in this mess, along with many bad loans is what caused this.

Now when Obama wants to spend money on things that matter and places where its badly needed, he is instantly called a socialist and compared with the Russian leaders.

For instance, I believe that health care is a right and should be free for all. The far right is saying that he's trying to nationalize the system. Well, no he's trying to give everyone a fair shake. Ill tell you one thing if you don't believe that then let me shoot you in the leg and take you to the hospital. Betcha if they deny you service you would think different about it. Cause the fact of the matter is if you cant pay, they dont have to treat you unless its life threatening! Once they find out you cant pay, they slap a band aid on you and send you walking.

If the middle class is thriving then, everyone else is. Dont understand why the super rich dont get that. Instead its all greed and me me me.

I find it amazing that Liberals continue to believe that spending ourselves into oblivion is the answer. And since when is it governments responsibility to make sure everyone is thriving? I guess since FDR installed socialism into our lives and extended the great depression by 7 years. BTW come shoot me in the leg so I can shoot you in the head. Health care is a right?????????? You are nuts. You know when you were in Iraq supposedly defending this country and not watching sat TV or posting at satguys you should have turned the gun on yourself. You and you kind are a far greater threat to this country.

It is in the best interest of the government to see that the people are thriving, because if the people are thriving then the government is too. FDR installed socialism into this country!!!!!!!!!!!! What.. You are nuts Spence when are we known as the Socialist regime of US. I would wrather be nuts than out of touch. It the people like you who are out of touch. Also, I served my country proudly, and At least I served, while your lazy bum just sat back at home and did nothing. The greater threat to the country is not people like me who want to see it improved, its people like you who do nothing and be cynical about every policy pushed down the line. Get off your lazy ass and do something about it if your soooo freaking passionate about it. How about this, enlist in the military and serve how I did. Untill then you have noooooooooo room to talk.

Bob, do you think everyone that did not serve in the millitary are lazy bums? Do they have any less right to believe the way they do because of that? Are they somehow less of a person?

Bob I also served in the military and IMO there should be a draft, discipline is what is lacking in America's youth and the military will give them that, but you, me and everyone else that was in the military volunteered, just because others didn't that doesn't make them less American.

Discipline needs to be taught to a child at the ages of 2 to 5 years old, if not starting at 1 year old....not at 18....that's insane! That's like saying, "The youth in America have gotten lazy and disrespect authority, let's send them to war to fix it!!!".

Secondly, a draft is unconstitutional in every respect...

All I know, since they stopped the draft, America's youth has gotten worse. I know the discipline I got in the military helped me a lot.

I agree that discipline is fundamental to the development of our youth, however we should not say bring back the draft so that they get it. This discipline is lacking in the homes. Parents have become lazy or scared to do it themselves, and THAT is what needs to be changed IMHO

On the other hand, I have seen military service greatly change people for the better in many cases, and if the draft would have been in effect I would have gladly gone.

I agree parents need to do more, but also parents can only do so much anymore before the kids get pissed and tell their teachers lie to get back at you. I had a friend that happened to him.

Not at my age youngster. And yes FDR (maybe if you were older you would be wiser) installed huge socialist programs that threaten to bankrupt this nation. How many insurgents did you kill in the reserves or national guard or whatever you were? Couldnt have been too many playing on the internet over there. Didnt you even write a protest letter about going? You are the John Kerry of Iraq IMO. I read that somewhere in one of the forums. So you want a freaking pat on the back for finally doing what we were paying for the whole time you were associated with the military? Someone put you in a war zone instead of doing nothing and sucking on the government tit. Give me a break. You signed up for it buddy, thats your risk, no one else has too.

Which is why i think it needs to start at a very very young age. Most are afraid to discipline a toddler, and this makes it harder to do when they get into the rebellious teenage years. Start young, and many of these problems would go away.
It is a shame that it has gotten to the point that it has though. I feel sorry for your friend.

Then of course my daughter has my dad wrapped around her little finger.

She does mean well, she bought me a new fridge, I miss payments of money I owe her and she says it's OK, but she always have to have the last word and my daughter is starting to act like her. I work nights and my wife works day, so my dad gets her off the bus and watches her till my wife gets off work. My sister is there watcher her also.

Wow we really went off topic.:o

For instance, I believe that health care is a right and should be free for all. The far right is saying that he's trying to nationalize the system. Well, no he's trying to give everyone a fair shake. .

1. If its free, and not "Nationalized", who controls what is covered, and who pays the doctor, nurse, and for the drugs, since it can't be the government if its not "nationalized"

2. Imagine the following scenario:

Oh, you live in Minnesota, where the winter wind chills get to 30 below and worse, and you have no house, so you spend your nights sleeping outside in this weather, and your days walking around outside trying to stay warm? Sorry to hear that.

Oh, you have absolutely no food, and no job to be able to get some food?
Sorry to hear that.

Oh, you have no health care?
PLEASE SOMEBODY END THIS HEALTH CARE TRAGEDY!!

How about a little perspective and realism from the fringe left? How long can most people live without seeing a doctor? How long can you survive 30 below wind chills? How long can you live without FOOD? We should have national food care first!

I have not found no one who has nothing if they try to get something. To often people expect something but are not willing to put in the work for it. Life is what you make of it. All we are entitled to is death and taxes... the rest you need to work for and earn imo.
