actually theres been a on again off again rumor to that effect.
ross twp is firmly against wall marts multiple attempts to build there. they tried to require wall mart to widen mcknight road, bought the land wall mart was going to locate on, and put in a park, basically have a no wall mart mentality. someone must have monewy in other retail businesses and fear they will be hurt
it would change retail on the entire mc knight road corridor.
i would be sad to see northway mall go away my earliest shopping memories were there it was the first enclosed mall in pennsylvania....... we traveled across town to shop
very sad to see it emptying out, i helped close the value city store almost a year ago believe its still empty

Greengate mall here is where I grew up, hanged out as a kid, got into fights, met girls and drank in the back hallways. Well since J.C. Pennys left and went to Westmoreland mall, the mall just went downhill, stores were leaving/closing left and right.
Wal Mart came and build a huge store, well the highway 30 corridor is now flourishing, stores, hotels and restaurants everywhere, they say we will be like Monroeville, they are building our first Sonic and a IHOP is suppose to be here.
IMO it's good for the area.
Here is a link to show greengate. There is also a greengate club on Facebook that I belong to.

i too believe a close by wall mart would be a great thing.
of course ross park mall went pricey, drove out nearly all the lower priced stores in favor of nordstroms, tiffanys etc, i rarely go there, mostly to exchange craftsman tools. new tools i buy elsewhere, dont like sears anymore

this one for amusement parks, i am interested in stuff thats not around anymore.
like the ship on the mountain on rt 30, i ate a steak dinner there as a kid, stopped one day it was abandoned, and torched shortly after that.
just recently i stood at the site of my moms and step dad#2 mobile home, conrete sidewalks still there. along with lots of memories.......
deadmalls is fascinating
that site will be growing a lot, 3000 expected to go bankrupt this year many will close

Looks like Buffet has discovered what a failure Obama and his policies are and has come out in opposition to them. Obama's ship is sinking along with his smoke screen of credibility.

Well I still say give him time, it took Bush eight years to mess up this country. It might take him more than two years to fix it.
