what a sissy. The leader of this country should bow to no one. I am not saying he is better then the king....but he is no worse.

I agree. The U.S. President has the same status for the U.S. as a King does for Saudia Arabia. There should be no bowing of one to the other, especially when in a 3rd country.
The only type of bow there should be, would be one to show equal status, such as Japanese will do to one another.

God forbid he shows some respect to foreign leaders. Funny how overseas countries don't hate us so much now.

If Bush had bowed, yes I would be.
God forbid he shows some respect to foreign leaders. Funny how overseas countries don't hate us so much now.And yet he didn't bow to the Queen of the country he was in.
As it is, Barrack Obama is the leader of an independent & sovereign nation. He should not bow to any leader of another country, period.
And don't think that I just attack anything Obama does, I'm actually defending him in the ipod thread. And yes, I've slammed Bush for things he's done as well.
But in this case, Obama was wrong to bow to a king of another country, especially when he's acting in the formal role as the leader of the United States, which is an independent & sovereign nation.

I agree. It would be one thing to be in a country where it's their tradition.
I don't understand why he did that, one of his advisers told him or he thought it is what he was suppose to do, either way it was just wrong.

Ok, I will ask you then. Which countries that hated us now love us?
I understand that you support Obama, that is fine, but blind loyalty?

This is good, the White House is now saying that it wasn't a bow :free-happy-smileys-

The White House is denying that the president bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London, a scene that drew criticism on the right and praise from some Arab outlets.
