Seven Hills- The 89-year-old man left his yellow-brick ranch for the last time Monday, taking with him the stain of a wartime past that forced him out of this country.
He was to arrive in Germany today, and soon he will be charged as an accessory in the deaths of more than 29,000 Jews at the Sobibor death camp in 1943. His German attorney, Guenther Maull, said a trial could be a few months away.

Well, we know he was lying about one thing... he didn't die on the flight over.

I've been hearing about this guy since I was a little kid. I've never actually followed the story. Is he still denying the charges against him?

Yeah, he's denied any involvement in the Nazi Death Camp's, but evidence is showing otherwise.
He was first extradited in the 1980's by Israel where he was later convicted of being a sadistic guard dubbed "Ivan the Terrible" at a death camp in Nazi-occupied Poland.
The Israeli Supreme Court, citing new evidence, overturned the conviction after Demjanjuk spent seven years on death row.
He returned to his family in Seven Hills. But within a few years, the U.S. Justice Department accused Demjanjuk of working at two other camps for the Germans. In 2005, a federal immigration judge ordered him deported.
Since then, he's basically been dragging the whole thing out saying he's too old and sick.

Why? Because he is old?
How does that change his crimes? Should he not have to pay for them?
As far as that goes, he can die of natural causes in peace from the comfort of a jail cell.

Are we the only civilized country that still uses corporal punishment? I wonder if Germany offers the electric chair?

Hmm. Well, the death penalty is a kind of a way out. I'd rather see that old Nazi rot away his last years in prison.
