I'm certain she (mother) knows more than she is letting on in that PR blitz. Your only getting one side of this.. Obviously you won't be getting the other side for a while. The kid has a lawyer....especially if he is being scheduled for arraignment. As possibly as a adult..

Give the Feds a little more credit than what your getting from the news clip.. These guys are human just like you and me..Some even have kids of their own.. I'm not saying a mistake can't happen but that is pretty remote with that many departments and people involved.. There where LEOs, State, HS and FBI and maybe even NSA involved in this. Its not like a lone Jack Bauer broke the door down in the middle of the night on a hunch and absconded with him to Nigeria...with out a warrant.. A Federal judge isn't going to issue a federal warrant on a 16 year old for spitting on the side walk.

First off, I don't watch 24 and never have seen an episode, so I'm no 24 alarmist. So don't give me that crap. :free-happy-smileys- Me? I hate government. The last thing in the world I'm comfortable with is government.. But there is government and then there is law enforcement. I don't have as much a problem with the Patriot Act as I do with most other Govt control acts. I don't have the inclination to get into the specifics right now. Maybe later.
Quickly... THe greatest loss that the Patriot Act restored was from the the Church Committee fiasco, the inter agency information sharing. It castrated us.. I was DIA and was not allowed to even talk with CIA or FBI as a result of that stupid wall. I thought that FBI COINTELPRO was fine too.. but that went away under Church..After the Church Committee the cumbersome and outdated FISA and FISC came about because of it..THe Patriot Act gave us more freedom to monitor those dirt bags so we might know the next time Sahib Skyhook in NYC is planing a attack with Mohamed Atta in Hamburg.

Actually I was told I have a daughter (45) whom I never saw/met and I helped raise two boys (stepsons) from 10 and 15..(one stupid much like me and the other smart like his mother) Now one (the smart one) with 2 kids... boys at 7 and 9... I'm their third grand dad but first favorite. I don't take any shit and they love it...because I'm fair..honest and teach them boy things...You know...Sling shots, apple shooters, and right from wrong. I don't buy them and they really understand that..Their other grand parents give them tons of store bought crap. I take them out in my shop and teach them how to make things they want, bang nails or let them help me cut lumber and metal.. They love flaming sparks and flying saw dust. Their boys.
