I'm no parent, but don't you stay with your kid at the doctor?

Yes, but mine are all 9 & under. Can't say so for older kids.
When I was a teen though, usually my parents didn't go in with me.

This guy was accused of acts on kids younger than 9. Where did you read that? I looked and didn't anything about age. I agree. One would think a parent would accompany a young kid at the doctors. Especially if it where an infant.. Something very strange about this case.. How many hours of video?? That also makes no sense. With that many "assaults and rapes" one would think some kid would have said something sooner with all this no touch paranoia in our schools.
To Winos point. At what age do kids "graduate" from pediatricians to "real" doctors?
I would guess most teens would not be going to a pediatrician. A teen would certainly say something.. I always went to a regular doctor.

Heard it on the radio, but also got that impression from this article

I also think an older kid would would say something.Depends...
After all, what kid know what's appropriate and what's not. After all, for a boy, the turn your head and cough while the Doc squeezes your nuts was pretty standard.
How is a girl supposed to know when the doctor pressing on her breasts or checking out her vagina is okay? Especially when they hear that it's okay because they're a doctor.

I also think an older kid would would say something."Unless he posts $2.9 million cash bail, Bradley, 56, will await his day in court at the state prison near Smyrna."
This guy will soon know what his victims went through. If he lives. "Welcome to your nightmare Perv".... I bet even the guards will be in on the "action".

I've seen teens at my kid's peidatrician.
Growing up, I always went to the Family Doctor where my mother had always gone too.

First off, have you seen this guy? I wouldn't leave my daughters with him. HD Roberts, you are correct. I have NEVER left my children alone with their doctors, except during surgery, and then they are not alone.
The victims in this case were as young as three months old!!!!! One said he took her down to a basement room. How does that happen? I am at the other end of the spectrum, I don't trust anyone with my kids, but i don't understand why anyone would leave their toddler or grade school age child alone with their doctor.

Maybe this will answer some of the questions as to how he got them alone...

"The alleged assaults were done to girls ages 3 months to 13 years according to Delaware Online. Also, Dr. Bradley videotaped some of the assaults. The videotapes were made between August 7 and December 13 according to Delaware Online.
The Cape Gazette reports that some of the attacks occurred in a "rear outbuilding. Police say Bradley was known to take patients to this building, without their parents, to give the child a treat."

Growing up, I always went to the Family Doctor where my mother had always gone too. Was there even pediatricians when you and I where kids? Or OBGYNs? I believe we all went to the same family doctor including when she was pregnant with me. and she just took a taxi the few blocks to Lenox Hill Hospital when it was time but I doubt he showed up.. . Of course we rarely saw a doctor anyways. Only if you couldn't stop the bleeding or had a temperature over 101 rectal.:05:.

And when they came from getting a treat crying, the parents still couldn't figure out something was up?

But then again, I grew up in rural Georgia. There were maybe 2 or 3 doctors in the county, and they were all family doctors.

You obviously know nothing about child abuse. I'm not trying to be condescending, but if you have ever interviewed a child that is the victim of a sexual abuse you would understand. They don't necessarily think what happened is wrong, especially when they are toddlers. They don't know different, especially if it is by someone they would normally trust. The older children are to scared to say anything and divulge the "secret." This is why a crime like this is so egregious, it destroys the innocence of a child forever.
This is why I don't trust anyone with my kids.

Bill has a point. Nothing against HD obviously, but children (or most anyway), sometimes do not know, if someone they "trust" does something like this, that it is wrong.
Personally, and it is easier to say after reading a case like this, I wouldnt leave my child alone either. However, it is natural to assume that the doctor is trustworthy.
I hope, if true, that he gets what is coming to him and worse. Hard to think of a worse crime.
