Churchill said ‘we don’t torture’ when the entire, all the British people were being subjected to unimaginable risk and threat.

Clearly he was referring to WWII and the Nazis.

I also see little evidence that Churchill endorsed the treatment of the Kenyans. And he accurately quoted Churchill.

Winston Churchill wasn't the PM in 1949.
His party (The Conservative Party) lost the election near the end of WWII in 1945, and didn't win power back until 1951.

Clement Atlee (of the Labour Party) was the PM during the beatings in the article.

half truths actually.

There were atrocities committed during Churchill's leadership as well. The uprising lasted until 1963, when Kenya became independent.

It's just that the particular instance with Obama's grandfather was under a different PM.

Bloggers have been rewriting history for the last couple of years. Its rather disturbing b/c the masses latch onto false info. Blogs should be considered what they are, op-ed.
