I liked the twilight saga. Read all four in four days. But I do that with a lot of the books I read, just because I like to read. Vampires and werewolves are just like wizards and witches, not real, but fun to read about.

Dont get me wrong, I thought the Twilight movies were decent, the last was pretty good. I watched Buffy, liked it actually.
The point of the story described the radical fans of this series, and many others though, and THAT is what makes it funny.
I mean, I liked Star Trek before the new movie, but I still laugh my ass of at the people that dress up and go to these conventions, or say they can speak Klingon. Its a disconnect from reality, IMO, and Twilight has those types of fans as well. Many act JUST like what is describes in the OP (and not just with Twilight)
That of course doesnt make all of the fans like that. Hell my wife had read the books, more than once, I wouldnt describe her like that.
I still laugh at the story. The pictures are hilarious!!! "Edward! You understand me!!!! OMG, OMG!!!!!"

And yeah, I get that about people being all crazy about something that is so obviously fictional. It's insane.
