Odd that they chose to shut them down instead of Buick. Pontiac was GMs thrid highest selling brand

the only GM brands remaining after june with be chevy and cadillac. the dealer network will be devastated, but many will be converting to imports from china and india.

The new SUV is pretty decent, and some of the planned models look promising. That said, pontiac had started to turn things around as well, and the G8 was impressive. Too bad

They are actively trying to sell Hummer and Sabb.

That leaves Chevy, Caddy, Buick, and GMC. I can see GMC hanging in there with them too, but Buick (if another one does go) could be sold or shut down.

saturn buick and GMC are all goners, most are just rebranding of the same basic platform, that costs extra bucks for no fiancial sense

because buick and GMC are basically the same they cant be sold.........

heard news GM will be under 40,000 workers with pontiac gone, I think they will end up between 28,000 and 30,000 workers tops.

perhaps far less if GM can contract out more.
