Thank goodness this hasnt taken off!

Although having the xtra space on 1 disc would be killer, esp ripping & burning DVDs-I cant imagine tryin to keep track of what movie(s) were on which disc. Evn if they were RW, imagine the time it would take?

Maybe Im missing sumpthin?

Im sure this is for the soon to fail 3D. And at this point it is little more than vaporware. The actual sucessful mass production of this going to take a long time to develop.

I know..I cant imagine how 3D is going to survive. Having to wear glasses to watch TV?
1. Hasnt America tried 3D b4? FAILED.
2. Doesnt the majority of ppl that need to wear glasses purchase contacts b/c we dont want to wear them?
3. I cant keep track of the stupid 3d glasses that come w/the movies! I'll be damned if Im gonna buy some for my 8 & 9 yo to break and/or lose.

I actually think you guys are off here. I do not have 3d, and wont upgrade for a while, but I can see it happening THIS time. Too much info around for the average person this time around, and we are getting there from a technology standpoint. We were not there the first times we tried.

I agree, I think with the success of 3D movies at the theaters, IMAX or even Disney, will have a impact on 3D T.V.s and Blu-ray players.

I am sure you have heard about the new 125 GB BD XL they are trying to make. http://onlygizmos.com/new-blu-ray-formats-announced-capacity-up-to-125-gb/2010/04/ I bet it is for 3D. I do not want anything to do with it. No existing BD players will play it. Seems like 50 GB DL BD -R just dropped to 4-5 dollars a disc so now they have to raise the stakes.

PS Please let me know if I spelled and added all my numbers correctly
