Lets list all the advantages we can think of.........
Secure ID with people tracking.
First EVERYONE would get a ID chip, fingerprint, hand print, DNA, retinal scan and photo. all done at a secure federal facility, on line with a national database.
want to get a job? fly? get government benefits? unemployment? use credit cards? put hand on scanner, which would read your chip, and confirm your palm and fingerprints. never a need to carry another credit card, ending card theft. for larger transactions retinal and other scans.
local chip readers would read as you walk by. very useful for law enforcement and terrorism control.
lost people can be easily found.
DNA ideal for law enforcement.
sure we might lost a little privacy, but think of all the advantages......
want a job, visit the local fed ID office for a confirmed ID and work permit.
your car gets stolen, have cops check who was near your vehicle before it grew feet.

A LITTLE???? A LITTLE PRIVACY? Bob you would have NO privacy! None, zip, nadda. Is that what you would want???

before I even take the time to post how terrible this idea is I need to know that you(Bob) are serious that you think this is a great idea. I have never met anyone whether liberal or not who would advocate such a thing.

well we as a nation have tossed how many trillions of dollars and lives into 2 wars, accepted the patriot act.
all for added safety.............
once terrorists strike here again, probably with a nuke, most will embrace such ID safety
crime might actually decrease a lot, since criminals will know their chance of being caught is greater. many open not solved crimes with DNA evidence can be solved and closed. this would save bucks on housing prisoners.
much of this is already here, all cell phones can be tracked.
it would just bring all the resources together.
the social security card is really a national ID thats just easy to forge
dead bodies found could be instantly identified giving their familys closure
your health records could be easily accesssed if you end up at the hospital and cant talk. its bear jones he is allergic too......
faser better care

Many of the crimes here in CA, in fact the largest proportion of crimes compared to the population, are committed by those that are undocumented. Even if we were to enact this stupid idea of yours, how would this idea stop crime or identify those whom are already undocumented?

at first the id chip would be voluntary, over time police stopping anyone for anything would scan the person. No chip would require they prove identity and citizenship, and be chipped.
non citizens would get ID chipped before deportation and all other id methods so we would know if they snuck back in. even if they cut out their chip DNA fingerprints etc would show who they were.
eventually street corner scanners would look for non id passers by and get them in the system.
scanners could blanket the borders looking for illegals either those without chips or repeat offenders.
its funny that those so against illegals dont want to do what technology can easily accomplish to solve or largely solve the problem.
criminal repeat offenders would get required long range chips for closer monitoring

your kidding right? Are you any relation to Stalin,Mussolini or hitler for that matter?
Just where do you propose the chip be located on the body?

Revelation 13.....
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

apparently the bible agrees this will occur.
in the hand would be the easiest. but hand on scanner check id chip and fingerprint, brings up menu of how to pay for stuff

Another globalist-collectivist hack, I see.
Is this promotion and if so to what end? Promotion of potential reality for the sake of awareness or promotion of a belief?
If its a beleif thenmy initialthught is this.....you must be a 'Dear Leader' minion, sycophant, fellow traveler, or simply a misguided fool who has zero clue about the principles of individual liberty, or about constitutional limitations on government.
One question, Mr. fed plant......just where is the 'Constitutional Authority' for the Federal Government to undertake, or mandate such a anti-liberty program?
I certainly won't hold my breath whilst you go attempt to look it up.
You also forgot to mention that Micro chipping will make it much easier to process the new arrivals at the Democrat FEMA camps.
Bob, If your personal life, liberty, and freedom mean so little to you that you will give them all to government for protection, you are 100% correct.
You can already have this done, you know. I have a tracking chip in my dog.
So, who's dog do you want to be?

I'd go to jail before I let a government put a chip inside of me.

currently the feds have systems in place to watch crowds of people for the heat signature of IEDs. with our calls recorded, or at least the numbers of everyone we call, fiancial tracking by banks of every $ we spend, and all the rest, then how much more do we really have to lose?

Does this guy ever answer direct questions to him?
Ill ask again....where is the 'Constitutional Authority' for the Federal Government to undertake, or mandate such a anti-liberty program?
and also, who's dog are you wanting to be?

I prefer to be top dog:)

No argument there, but why do you advocate the total erosioin of liberty for a little security?

At first, the Social security act was "purely voluntary".
The level of control that you wish the federal government to wield over it's citizens is astounding.
were this voted into law I would actively advocate as well as participate in, the violent (if necessary) overthrow of our federal government.
Every citizen has a reasonable expectation of privacy. this would negate that totally.
The easiest way to solve the illegal immigrant problem? enforce the laws we have!
get rid of the so called "sanctuary cities" and put the politicians that want perpetual voters by allowing illegal immigrants amnesty out of office.
Less control allows freedom, what you propose is nothing less than a nation sized gulag.
