A friend bought one of these and while it is a better picture than the 12 year old RCA TV that he had it doesn't measure up to any other new flatscreen TVs now on the market. The sad thing is that he had the $$$ to buy anything out there but he choose this one based solely on price off of the internet. He never went to any store to compare others screen to screen. It's his money and if he is happy then who am I to complain!

Man, I would never buy a set without doing some extensive research first. There are actually better deals out there on name brand sets if one does the leg work. Did he buy it online? Or pick it up in the store?

He picked it out online and had it delivered by one of the local stores. Also paid extra to have them hook up his other stuff to it. They would not hook up his surround sound because he didn't buy it there.
