Hackers broke into the servers at a prominent British climate research center and leaked years worth of e-mail messages onto the Web, including one with a mysterious reference to a plan to "hide the decline," apparently in temperatures.

This is great! They can blame this on hackers, but I work in IT and I can tell you that 99.9% of the time, the hack is performed by an inside employee that is pissed off about something. Hopefully this puts a halt to the Enviro-Fascist movement.

I came across this yesterday and down loaded 15 min of down load Then I couldn't unzip it. My winzip was out of date and I didn't want to resubscribe.
Today the New York Times refused to print any of it becaues "they don't print anything that was not meant to be seen" Like the Pentagon Paper and a few CIA and military secrets

your words are a real boost to me at the moment. I found myself questioning the whole
process and being often frustrated at the formulaic way things had to be done - often

We don't have a lot of proxies that come right up to date and those that do (at least a significant number of tree proxies ) some unexpected changes in response that do not match the recent warming."


"Another serious issue to be considered relates to the fact that the PC1 time series in the Mann et al. analysis was adjusted to reduce the positive slope in the last 150 years (on the assumption - following an earlier paper by Lamarche et al. - that this incressing growth was evidence of carbon dioxide fertilization) , by differencing the data from another record produced by other workers in northern Alaska and Canada (which incidentally was standardised in a totally different way). This last adjustment obviously will have a large influence on the quantification of the link between these Western US trees and N.Hemisphere temperatures. At this point, it is fair to say that this adjustment was arbitrary and the link between Bristlecone pine growth and CO2 is , at the very least, arguable."

Global warming in general. The people that want to push this as a matter of policy would have you believe that the science is absolute and undisputed. It isnt

Man-made Global Warming, only true thru man-made manipulated computer models and software. That's what the "hackers" exposed.
