CHENEY:

“One of the things that I find a little bit disturbing about this recent disclosure is they put out the legal memos, the memos that the CIA got from the Office of Legal Counsel, but they didn't put out the memos that showed the success of the effort. And there are reports that show specifically what we gained as a result of this activity. They have not been declassified.”

“I formally asked that they be declassified now. I haven't announced this up until now, I haven't talked about it, but I know specifically of reports that I read, that I saw that lay out what we learned through the interrogation process and what the consequences were for the country.”

“And I've now formally asked the CIA to take steps to declassify those memos so we can lay them out there and the American people have a chance to see what we obtained and what we learned and how good the intelligence was, as well as to see this debate over the legal opinions.”

Developing...

This is being reported on Drudge tonight. If in fact there are more documents showing the intelligence gathered from the torture, then why not put it on the table and have a national debate once and for all. It seems like the next logical step in wrapping up this post 911 funk the nation is in. Let's hear it, all sides out in the open, what's the worst thing that could happen, everyone knows the truth?!?!?!

Cheney is absolutely right. If you are going to release documents outlining the horrendous torture that occured like subjecting a man to a catepillar that provoke outrage then you should release documents outlining the terrorist attacks these techniques thwarted unless this is purely political. Of course we all know why these were released and we all know reports of their effectiveness will not be released by our communist in chief.

Like I said, releases the other memos if in deed the torture proved to be effective, regardless, let's find out the truth. If in deed they tortured suspects with no results, then we need to know. Until the memos are released , its all heresay and conspiracy.

Our Pilots and other forces etc are waterboarded as part of training. Unfortunately now Al Queada will recieve the same training. Thanks Obama for empowering our enemies!

That video was released in '07. Nothing was released that wasn't already speculated.
