No investor in their right mind would partner with the government in this climate. I would pull my money from any bank involved in this scheme.

The idea is to make money by risk, high risk in this case. The government can cap the profit. If the banks take Federal funds to reduce risk to them but increase the risk to the tax payer then the intrusion is even greater.
As a bank partner/share holder with the potential of profit I don't want to be singled out, made public, by the Obama administration as "greedy" and being compared to a suicide bomber with my finger on the switch so that bus loads of bat shit crazed mobs can come to my house. .

Russian banks are looking better every day.
