All he was doing was making fun of himself, no ill intent intended, but was a poor choice of words in these days of political correctness.

But seeing as he is a democrat, he'll get the benefit of the doubt and a free pass from the media. If he had been a republican, no such luck.

That is pretty much how I see it Derwin. I happened to be watching Olbermann last night and he mentioned it. He brushed it off as NOTHING. Hey, the guy goes through alot as pres....ect. Imagine if that would have been Bush. He would have blown a blood vessel ranting.

It was insensitive even if it was self depricating. They need to send that barned raised black man to sensitivity training. They would if he were white and a gov't employee. Bush would be flogged in Congress for it.

It was poor word choice, and yes, if Bush had said it, it would be worse.
