htperinflation requires a robust economic recovery. because of way too much debt all around we are going to have a mediocre recovery at best. as a matter of fact a second round of home foreclousers is about to begin, for otherwise credit worthy people who have lost good paying jobs.

then retail foreclousers get added

the economic crisis is about to get worse again

Yeah, the documentary is some doomsday stuff, but its educational as far as how other countries were destroyed by inflation from printing money. It also highlights the unsustainable path we are on here in the USA.

It's very good. Even the liberals should be able to understand it. :nana:

I agree printing money is stupid. We just disagree where spending needs to be cut.

21% of the budget is spent on defense, including the "global war on terror" (although that doesn't include Iraq and Afghanistan, which are separate appropriations). If we stopped playing world police, we could spend A LOT less on defense. Start paying down the debt, too. over 8% of the budget is debt service.

One other big area of the budget is social security. We need to scrap this program. Tough to figure out how to go it. But *gasp* I do believe retirement savings should be in the private sector.

Actually I totally agree with ending our role as world police. If someone attacks us, bomb the country in which the attack originated back to the stone age and then be done with it. No occupation. Also, Congress must declare war, not the president. This preemptive doctrine of the war on terror is insane.

war has been made too clean and attempts to win without hurting non military people is counterproductive.

the masses must see their citys turned to ruin to know they lost, then look to the winners for rebuilding.....

certinally we should try to mininimze civilian casualties, but win any war.

if a country harbors terrorists level one city at a time, warning the population to move away from the bombings and towards a cache of food and water........

once one coutry is used as a example terrorists wouldnt be allowed to remain
