I like the result, but I agree with the objective of the author of the article - - - it's time we start respecting the constitution.

Especially since Dodd added an executive compensation restriction to the bill, which provided an "exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before February 11, 2009." Dodd's own amendment exempted the AIG bonuses that he now wants to tax. Congress knew long ago about the retention bonuses but are acting all innocent. Politics as usual.
