At least one sheriff's deputy in North Carolina won't have any trouble catching speeders. Multiple media outlets reported Wednesday that the Wake County Sheriff's Department has a Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Chevrolet said the car has a top track speed of 198 mph, with a base sticker price of $74,875. Its V8 racing engine generates 505 horsepower.
Lol, better pull over because you aint outrunning this thing.

They should of sold it and used the money to finance anti-drug efforts. Not go after speeders.

I doubt that is the only thing they will use if for. That would be overkill.

Well hells bells. I was driving on a divided 6-lane bypass outside Raleigh a few days ago and met a group of cars going the other way. My V1 was raising hell and when the group had passed, the V1 indicated the radar was behind. There was a black Corvette in the group but I was checking out all the other cars trying to see which one had the radar. I didn't even give the Vette a second look. No way could the deputy be in a Corvette! I'll be on the lookout for it now.

Its a smart use of resources. They should use confiscated drug money to go after drug dealers. They would lose money selling and buying another car.

Going after speeders is not a smart use of resources.
