Just figured I would go ahead and open this.
Who is going to watch it?
While my mind is made up on this issue, I will give it a listen.
Edit: I have a running commentary as I see a point. Not catching it all though, cooking for myself and the wife as well

Well he did not wait long to attack just the repubs against it.
And yes they have great health care. Why not drop it and take what he is proposing here?

Decent question, and follow up from the NBC guy. I am mildly suprised

He is talking about cutting out steps that are not necessary, but do we think the gov. can really run anything like that?
Good idea, but I doubt it can or will be done with more gov. tape in the way.

They inherited the problems again. (edit: twice in 4 minutes)
You have to give it to him. He can speak, and knows how to make a situation look good.
I honestly think he has some decent ideas on some things.
That said, I do not see how anyone can be for THIS plan as is.
Those that are, if you can explain it to me please.

I like this question by Christy.
It is about transparency.
He is answering it ok, but not in detail. Smart, I would not take to much time on that one as well if I were him.

The plan we are seeing largely matches up with what they (the gov, congress, the pres) get?
I wonder if that is true....

No way no how. If it did "largely" match, there would be no need for a new plan. Just put everyone under theirs. Good thing he's not Pinocchio or they'd be bringing in the Stihl about now. There would be enough wood to heat DC for a winter.

I do not think so either, but truth is we do not know what they get. He can say that, easy answer.
I doubt anyone thinks that we are all getting largely the same coverage though. If a senator and I come in to the same hospital, for the same condition , at the same time, who are they going to take care of first?

I hope people do not take my posts as bashing Obama.
That was really not my intention.
I simply think he is dead wrong on this issue.

This is from 2004 but I bet not much has changed.

I think he killed himself by going off subject at the end and attacking the Cambridge police force. That one is going to stick and the Repubs will make sure it sticks. Obama better hope he had the facts straight.
Also, he avoided the "end of life" discussion....

Well done speech.
According to Obama, 2/3rds of the money will come from better budgeting.
Health care in this country is broke. In 10 years it will be unfordable. It needs fixed and this is the first step.

Lol, I am sorry to HD, but really. It is a good speech and they say they can pay because they will budget better?
I dont care who is in power and what side you support, I would not believe that. They cant. They have too many irons in the fire. They can not pay for this.

OMFG you are that Naive! :free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-
You have a better chance of watching your Cleveland Browns in the superbowl ( which would take every other team in the AFC dying in a plane crash) than paying 2/3 of it with "better budgeting" :free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-
Your Messiah can't even "better budget"/whack 100 million off the budget that he promised but YOU think HE can do THIS? :free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-:free-happy-smileys-
