Just another reason for universal health care.

I'd love to hear the conservatives explain how free market completion would solve their problems.

you work for what you have. If you want more work harder or better yourself to make yourself more marketable to earn more.
If you want better insurance see above. it is a process not a handout!

Its not my responsibility to pay for your medical care. If you cant afford it stay home and die. If you don't like our system then move.

So, you've found the solution. Involuntary euthanasia of the sick. :augentreher: :sleep-043:

Yeah, go ahead and exploit compassion to get everyone to pay for your doctor visits!! :augentreher:
If you lose your job and need medical help? Get the medical procedure done and discuss a payment plan with your doctor/hospital. Any hospital/doctor will work it out with you. But don't expect someone else to pay for it!!!!!!!

What if you were to lose your job and need health care? What then? That women wasn't too compassionate toward her own unborn child she flushed down the sink drain.. She hypocritically chastised the Republicans for
"Not many Republicans were among them. But there ought to have been more--because in a distant era fast receding in time, theirs was the party of moderation and individual rights, and also because, ironically enough, I have led precisely the life Republicans claim to value."
not standing up for individual rights but abandoned the INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS of her own child she did NOT value.. That is where individual rights begin... not when your grown and sick..
That aside. Life can suck.. People with the sense of spoiled privilege piss me off..She wallows in her self pity yet she, her husband and daughter enjoy a far better medical care and life than the poor bastard in Bangladesh or Ethiopia that lies in their grass hut on a floor mat who got hurt by the water buffalo tending the rice patty for food instead of getting hurt riding a horse for fun.. She should think she is lucky (and thank God if she is inclined to believe) she lives here in the USA..
Over there her husband and daughter would not have even seen a doctor let alone a hospital..
IOW be thankful for what you do have,,,not complain about what you don't have.. Most in the world would long for at least her situation. .

Sorry but euthanasia implies me doing something to kill you. You dying because you cannot afford care and me not paying for it is NOT euthanasia. I am not denying you treatment. I am refusing to give you money for it and you have no right to my money.

Hey, that is life, and bad things happen. Even so, there are ways to get medical care here in those cases. As fallout said, set up a payment plan, most places will work with you. Just dont expect everyone else to be forced to pay for it.

some people do not have the abilty to set up plans and some don't think they should just be left to die.
Help the least among us make the rest stronger. it is time for health care for all in this :thumbup:country.

Last I checked you had to sign a DNR. You want all people with no insurance to have DNRs by default, it sounds like.
You are way to attached to your money. Hmmm, 1 Timothy 6:10 anyone?
I have plenty of compassion. Just no cash for your dying butt.
Well, if you're not willing to do anything about it, your compassion is about as useful as a unicorn fart.

Not my problem. If you feel that way then send them your money.

They can sign whatever they want to sign, just as long as I'm not paying for it.

Why would they not have the ability to set up plans? The hospitals would rather get something than nothing I would wager.
I do agree with vurb, that if it bothers you, send them your money, hell, I might even do the same, I just do not think I, or anyone else, should be forced to pay for someone elses care. We should do it if we DECIDE to ourselves.

That is an unfair assessment. I have all the compassion in the world for someone in need. I just do not think I, you, or anyone else should be FORCED to pay for ANYTHING for someone else. How is that right in any situation? Why should the gov tell me that I have to pay for your surgery? Or you for mine?
