Fair and Balance? Nope.

IMHO, if you are on the left side of things, then you will gravitate to CNN. If you are on the right side of things, then you will gravitate to FoxNews.

As a whole? No. I think there are several on there that are fair however.

CNN seems centrist to me.....they don't have partisan hacks (*cough MSNBC/FNC *cough*) inciting their political base on a nightly basis.

And if you are on the EXTREME left of things, you will gravitate to MSNBC

I would say MSNBC is as "extreme" left as FNC is "extreme" right.

FOX is right but gives opposing opinons. and CNN is left and is 24 hr rah rah Obama. MSNBC is even further radical left, its a circus not a news network.

I do not agree. I see Fox News and CNN as pretty close to each other, one is a little left, one a little right. Then MSNBC is WAAAAAAYYYYY out in left field. I do not know of a tv news channel that is comparable on the right.

Let me clarify one thing. There is a hard core right winger on Fox news, and that is Hannity. I can not stand to watch him anymore. I think alot of people see that idiot and think the whole network is like that when it really is not. Shep is fair, Beck is cooky, but he is also fair, and I enjoy his show. Bill has strong conservative views, and gets a little over the top sometimes, but he will give it to the right also.

If your talking about just news reporting I think Fox News is fair. I find their content in reporting to have more facts then other news shows like NBC,CBS, or ABC.As far as cable new like CNN, they seem to be depressed no mater what they report on. Its a same you have to get most of the news from several different sources just to get the whole story. BUT! if your talking about the talking heads (political shows) they all slant one way or the other.

Is Jack Macafferty fair and balanced? He even uses the web to gather posts and only puts the right wing ones up on TV. He may allow a left wing one but the ratio is about 6:1 making conservative opinions look radical or out of place.

Cambell Brown, no bias, no bull? I you freaking kidding me? She is a leftist attack dog!!! And that large black woman that was the left wing leader of the Clinton era? I actually think it is good to watch what both sides are saying. Which is why I will watch Fox, CNN, and even MSNBC from time to time. Gives me a varied outlook from both sides.

Actually I was just poking at Bear, except for Olbermann, I only watch the local news and read world news on the net.

I'm usually asleep anyway when the news comes on.

When I am awake, I'm usually on the computer or watching shows I put on the DVR.

You see things differently, which is ok. Hannity is a hardcore conservative. He is comparable to Rush Limbaugh. Neither is afraid to speak his mind and tell it like it is. It's not always what Dems or Reps want to hear, but it's out there. Fox may not be fair and balanced anymore, but with all the liberal news out there now, I think its great to represent what may be the minority now. Try watching Fox News when a Democrat is a guest and constantly interrupts the Republican guest. Democrats don't try to present you with their side, they want to shove it down your throat! Show me a Democrat who will ever admit that he was wrong! Bill Clinton still can't admit the whole Monica ordeal was wrong! Or Whitewater? And as far as Glen Beck is concerned, he use to be a democrat, but associates with Independents now. I find him very honest and refreshing.

The biggest problem with politics is, everyone associates themselves with a party and adopts their principles, rather than thinking for themselves!

Hannity and Rush are the same as far as I am concerned. Whether they tell it "as it is" is open for debate. They do totally believe what they say though. The same is said for some of the more over the top leftist also. I find those types of people on either side as ignorant, and do not listen to them. There is no grey area to these people. THEY are right, and everyone else is wrong.

To say that all dems are like you say here is unfair and you know it. Not all of them try to shove their views down your throat. They same argument could be made about he repubs by one watching MSNBC and CNN. Tell me they do not pick their guests for a reason....
For that matter, many Repub guests on Fox are the same. They simply will not shut up and let another viewpoint through. Dems too I admit

All of that said I totally agree with your last statement.

Hannity and Rush arn't the same to me. Rush (and Ann Coulter for that matter) are extremely intelligent and I think a lot of what they say is just schtick. Hannity is just scary....I think he actually believes much of the nonsense he spews.
