Ridiculous, get rid of them all.
If they want to be legal, follow the proper procedure to become legal.

I think this proposal will go nowhere. How do you explain to the American people who do not have a job we are going to make people here illegally, legal to allow them to get a job.

I hope common sense prevails, but I am seeing less and less of that these days

they have always done the low pay grunt work americans need to keep the economy running. as such I hope they get legal status. There is always someone to do the low pay grunt work. All you have to do raise the wage to where legal people will do the work.
To say the work is so low/grunt that only illegals will/can do it, is nothing different than saying picking cotton is so low/grunt that only slaves will do it.
If you can't get legals to do the work, then raise the wage to where they'll do it. Unemployment is going up, so to say there is no one available to do the work is nothing more than a lie.

The only problem I see with this Derwin is that many of these jobs do not justify a higher wage. The break even line is simply too thin.
However I do agree that there are people available to do these jobs , and in most cases they would if they could get them. I am going of of my own experience in offering some of these jobs (along with many higher paying ones also) and hiring some of these people. We get application after application, and it did not just get that way since the job market started going down.

The proper prodecure is broke, so if they change it then they are now following the new procedure.

The proper procedure is not broke, it is simply not being followed in most cases.

No it is broke, it does not allow for the huge influx of people wanting to join this nation. We used to have an entire island dedicated to bringing people in and moving things along quickly. Now it takes years to become a citizen.

I have no problem at all with it taking that long.
Simply changing the rules to effect those that have broken the law in being here now is not the way to go.

Why? Why cant they change the rules and make it retroactive? They see the mistake and fault and fix it. Obviously there is a problem when we have 13million undocumented people in this nation. (minimum) So fix the problem lets get these people documented and move on.

Or fix the problem and let border patrol do their jobs. Or let private land owners stop them from trespassing.

I'm sure the politicians will make them legal so they can feel less guilty about the people they have landscaping their mansions.

Ahh so you WANT the trade deficit to get worse? Such jobs like food production will have to raise prices to cover the new higher labor costs and just force these jobs to foreign nations.
one day others can hold us hostage, by prohibiting food exports to the US, and by manipulation increase food prices just like oil..........

They need to let these people, who do the jobs no one wants too, stay here and become citizens. They need to adopt a amnesty package soon.

Thats just it Carl. I do not agree that there are jobs that no one will do anymore. With so many out of work, there ARE workers available.
